Outstation — common questions
How is an outstation ambulance priced?
It uses the same distance-based logic as a local trip — a base fare plus a per-kilometre rate for the full route — plus applicable tolls and state taxes. Because distances vary widely, we confirm a firm figure per route before you book.
Is a doctor or paramedic included?
For critical and ICU transfers, yes — a trained paramedic (and a doctor where required) travels with the patient, with monitoring, oxygen and life-support on board throughout the journey.
Do you cover one-way and return trips?
Both. We handle one-way inter-hospital transfers, discharges to your home town, and round trips. Tell us the plan and we quote accordingly.
How far in advance should I book?
For planned transfers, a few hours' notice lets us position the right vehicle and crew. Urgent transfers can often be arranged immediately — call the 24×7 desk.
